Moja: Focus — jApps

Before publishing: set MOJA_APP_STORE_URL in build_site.py. Until it is set, this page names the App Store without linking to it.

What it does

One active item. Only ever one. To start something new you must first finish, or deliberately abandon, what you are on.
Nothing else to manage. No lists, no subtasks, no categories, no dashboard. Every one of those was considered and left out.
A record of what you finished. Completed items are kept, so the app shows what got done rather than what is outstanding.
Private by design. Items sync across your own Apple devices through iCloud.

Who it is for

People who have tried the comprehensive to-do app and stopped opening it. A long list is a record of everything you are not doing; Moja is deliberately the opposite, and if you want projects, tags and a weekly review then it is the wrong app and we would rather say so.

Why we built it

Moja is the odd one out here: a personal app rather than business software, and not specific to Tanzania. We built it because the constraint interested us and because a small, finished product is a good discipline against the habit of adding features. It is held to the same standard as the rest.
